These terms govern your use of Pinch, a recipe, meal-planning, shopping-list, and hands-free cooking app. By using Pinch, you agree to these terms and to Pinch's Privacy Policy.

The service

Pinch helps you import, organize, plan, and cook recipes, including AI-assisted recipe import, photo generation, and hands-free commands. Some features work offline; others require an internet connection.

Accounts

You need a Pinch account to use Pinch. Sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be old enough to consent to use of the AI and third-party services Pinch relies on under the laws of your country.

Your content

Recipes, photos, notes, and other content you create, import, or upload remain yours. By importing a recipe from a link, video, or photo, you confirm you have the right to do so and to have Pinch process it, including sending the relevant text, video or images to Pinch’s AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Pinch does not claim ownership of your content and uses it to provide the app's features.

Imported and AI-generated content

Recipes imported from third-party sources remain the property of their original creators; Pinch is not affiliated with those platforms. AI-assisted features can make mistakes. Always check ingredient lists and instructions yourself before cooking or eating, especially if you have allergies or a medical dietary restriction. Pinch's dietary flags and nutrition estimates are conveniences, not medical advice.

Free and paid plans

Pinch Free includes the features and recipe limit shown in the app. Pinch Pro is an automatically renewing subscription that adds unlimited saved recipes, meal planning, and reminders to thaw ingredients and start cooking. Available plans, prices, trial eligibility, and billing periods are displayed by the App Store before you confirm a purchase and may vary by country or region.

If a free trial is offered, payment begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Apple charges your Apple Account and manages billing, cancellation, plan changes, and refund requests. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.

If Pinch Pro expires or is cancelled, your saved recipes and existing plans remain available. Pro-only creation features stop until you resubscribe. If your saved recipe count is above the Free limit, you can still access those recipes but must reduce the count before adding more.

Sharing and households

If you share a recipe or a bundle of recipes with someone through Pinch, you give them a copy for their personal use. You are responsible for sharing only content you have the right to share.

A household lets you share recipes, meal plans and shopping lists with people you invite. Members of a household can see what is shared in it. Share an invite link only with people you want to join, and remember that you can leave a household at any time.

Acceptable use

Do not use Pinch to import or share content you do not have the right to use, abuse or overload Pinch's backend or AI services, or attempt to access another user's account or data. Pinch may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.

Third-party services

Pinch relies on third-party services, including Apple, Google, Google Gemini, Supabase, and weather providers, to provide certain features. Your use of those features may also be subject to those providers' terms.

Disclaimers and liability

Pinch is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Pinch does not guarantee that recipes, timers, substitutions, or AI-generated content will be accurate, safe, or fit for a particular purpose. You are responsible for food safety, cooking times, and dietary decisions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pinch and its developers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.
